100 bows and three boxes full

Because it IS that time of year, I spend a lot of time in my studio, sitting in a chair or standing in one place, tying bows. After the first two, it becomes incredibly boring (I’ve tied more than a few over the years) unless I find something to entertain me. For instance, a good show on my computer. This year’s offerings have been particularly good and thankfully, abundant. I admit to being a bit fickle. Add that to a short attention span and you’ll understand why I’ve switched around a bit. It began last Friday, first listening to a podcast called ‘Dusted’. It devotes each episode to one corresponding episode of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. My thought was that I’d listen then watch. I got as far as episode 4. I watched more than I listened. It was surprisingly fun. Maybe I’ll get back to it. Yesterday, I remembered that I still had Starz on Demand available to watch on the computer. I had neglected to turn it off after Outlander ended for the season. Starz does a great job on their Mini-Series or what they call ‘Originals’. There areoles to choose from. I managed 5 episodes of Black Sails. Chris got caught up in watching it with me so the remainder of the episodes are on hold until we have time to finish them together. Now I’m 4 episodes into Dancing on the Edge. Great music, especially if you enjoy jazz. Beautiful clothes and elaborate sets. Oh, and over 100 bows done.

I’ve got two series well worth watching for you, that is if you have access to Netflicks. They are both called “The Grand Hotel”. One takes place outside London post WW2. The second, “Gran Hotel” takes place in Spain, sub-titled. I loved them!

Happy watching during the mindless bow-making!

  3. Bow tying. Yikes! Keep on keepin’ on. I hope this doesn’t wreak havoc on your hands and arms.
