On August 1st, smatterings walked through another year and I didn’t even notice. I thought I’d go back through my files and look at some of the banner images I’ve used through the years. Starting with the first in 2003:
There were others, there will be more. Some of you have walked with me for a long time, others, I’ve only just met. Thanks for your company, it’s been great.

Congratulations! The bottom banner reminds me of that silly song, “lama, lama, lama, duck.” Except of course with sheep instead of lamas and alpacas instead of ducks. As a newbie, I’m glad I found you!

Happy blogiversary! I remember those banners. Has it really been that long? You’ve been an excellent part of my blog and real life.
Congratulations on your blog anniversary (albeit a couple of days later). The banners are all very impressive pictures; while the one with the sea and the wave must be older than the time I discovered your blog, I think it is my favourite. Thanks for sharing the beauty that surrounds you in such a creative way.
