Aside from the comments that I could / should rename my Wednesday posts to "Paddle with me Wednesday", these watery forays seem to work as a perfectly acceptable alternative means of ambulation. It’s much cooler on the water. I can dip my hands in and drift about, splash myself or stop and dive in. It’s about poking around, being outdoors, refreshing one’s spirit. How we get there isn’t important. In the winter I go about on snowshoes.
Just as I often I switch to a shorter, more agile snow shoe, In situations like this, I wish for a shorter, more negotiable kayak. 14 1/2 ft. is hard to maneuver in swampy areas. I go where I can and view where I can’t from a distance.
In my search for the goose family, that I now fear has flown the coop, I came across a beautiful "floating" garden.

Floating along in the swamp sounds wonderfully peaceful.
Paddling along that pond sounds so relaxing! Let’s try to get together again for lunch soon….that was fun!
Is that really a hosta in there?
Sounds so peaceful, soul-restoring. I’m just sitting here roasting at home.
