"make hay while the sun shines"
I’m taking advantage of every minute, in every way. Because I’m using broadband access or a couple days, I’ve updated My Gardens photo album. Despite the nearly continuous rains, the flowers are doing pretty well. The veggies are not.
Saturday was warm and breezy and DRY, perfect for washing a bit more of the Montadale from last April. I got two loads washed and dried. I’ve been afraid to do any this ummmm ‘summer’ (I’ll call it that) because I figured it would rot before it dried, but yesterday…. PERFECT!

Carding, and a bit of spinning, have commenced. Just testing it out. This batch is drier than the last one, less grease left in. I must have given it one more soap wash. Definitely different, not better, not worse, but different.

Clever drying racks. Summer is the time for washing fleece – so much fun to wash and card it.
Oh my that looks yummy and soft.
Saturday was the perfect wool washing day, I got a few batches done myself too. it was nice to have a little break for the rain and humidity. That batt looks lovely!
You use broadband/dialup alternately? Does that work okay? We live in rural TX and I’m trying to figure out whether to try to get broadband.
