Unlike today, yesterday still felt springlike. I saw skunk cabbage in several locations that hadn’t been visible two days before.
Last night, I packed up the sleeves and rowed back to the mainland. Maybe I’ll get some seaming done tonight.. Sammy will help.
(I hate this part, I’d rather be on Sleeve Island.)
Today, I swatched (the first sleeve) the Vine Lace Cardi. The color should be more Orchid. It’s Heirloom 100% alpaca, very soft, very yummy and on #10 needles, it should go quickly.

Seaming isn’t that horrible. Just be slow and methodical about it and before you know it – finito! Cats are a wonderful help.
It’s worth doing…you’ll have a sweater to wear! We had 6″ of snow today but now the sun is out and it couldn’t be more beautiful. The crocus (the only flowers we have at the moment) are all covered over. The violet is gorgeous!
It looks like little Sam must be feeling better after his awful experience.
I love Vine Lace – that’ll be so lovely in that color.
The vine lace is really pretty. I’m seeing my weather in your backyard. (I don’t really like seaming, either.)
Seaming, yuk… but Vine Lace, yum. Is that from a Gathering of Lace book?
Awwwww……Sammy did get a scraping on his face…poor guy!
