quick post… this just in from Grandma..
this morning i taught her to go up the 15 basement stairs…i
knew she’d do it as soon as i was out of sight, lo and behold…there’s
the little whiner at the top of the stairs looking for me! omg-i am
sooooo in love. we’ve done one practice on going down basement
stairs-still shaky. had one feeding/peeing at 3am-then she put herself
right back in her little "cottage" and went back to sleep til 6am-got to
go to school-she’ll be home until noon with her "hamster bottle set up"
and not long after…
halt the presses.. change of plans… big bad daddy doesn’t want k von pissenpoop to be home alone so she’s
going back to the ivy covered halls of academia…clearly the most
brilliant ovine in the annals of sheepdom!!!
soooo… are we obsessing??

sweetie pie goes to school
Today, was the first day of school for little ‘Sweetie Pie’ (aka Lady Katherine von Pissenpoop). Perhaps it was a bit early on to be thinking of structured education, but when your back is up against the wall.. hmm.. anything can happen. Grandma and her Gramps work at the school, teaching and minding the other young animals so it wasn’t really that much of a leap to decide to take on one more kid. Aunt Judy, well.. it nearly broke her heart, but she had to do a road trip and get back to the kind of work that makes it all possible. There were some (a very few) thoughts about how Sweetie Pie might travel along and hang out in the office arena for a week, but she would have to have traveled in the company of two cats, Aunt Judy and Uncle Chris and a tractor, all crammed into a large and very noisy van for the FIVE hour ride. It all seemed a bit much. And so, the little lamb went to school.
Here’s what Grandma wrote:
Lady Katherine von Pissenpoop went to school today and is now sleeping
on grandpa’s chest. She is just worn out from getting: kissed, hugged,
cuddled, smooched, petted, patted, fed, played with and oooh-ed and
ahhhhh-ed over. She is now the most popular girl in Glover (mayhaps the
prettiest, also???) She visited all the little kids and the big kids
(6th, 7th, 8th) fought over who would feed her-too funny. and Gramps is
about so proud he’ll bust a blood vessel.
So there you have it. Grampa has rigged up a bottle to be kept in/ on hercratebedroom wall, reminiscent of a hamster water bottle for the few half days that she may want torelaxplay hookie and stay home. All’s well. I’ll keep you posted on her progress. -
Life of a Bottle Baby: Day 2
If Mom wanted me, I’d be with her in the nursery, in the barn, ALL DAY! Lucky for me, I’m a bottle baby. I get to go places, see things, take enrichment classes. I explore..

Sheepy kisses,
Kathyrn (or as Aunt Judy likes to call me, Sweetie Pie)ps. She box trained herself at 24 hrs. old. Cries out to have the door opened so she can go out to pee and have another bottle. Smart, heh? And they say that Jacob is a primitive breed. Guess they just had longer to learn all the tricks.

Yah – but sometimes obsession is a good thing. 🙂
She sounds adorable. I want one.
It’s been too long since I had a baby goat. I want one too. Or two. Anyway, Carol Bliss has 2 nubian milkgoats which will have babies later in the year. Hopefully I won’t get too attached.
That little one has a very exciting life!
