pictures and NH

A quick reminder.. this weekend is the New Hampshire Sheep & Wool.  This is, for those of you who have not gone to other fairs, a very manageable show.  It’s smallish, has great vendors and lots of animals.  The fairgrounds this time of year are very beautiful (despite the prediction for cool damp weather) with very tall white pines and a lovely trail leading into the grounds.  The town is one of those blink and you might miss it places with the fun name.. Contoocook. There may be good places to eat, but other than a general store, I’ve not found them.  If you are in and around the Concord area, it is definitely worth the trip.  I’ll be there Saturday.  On the way, I’m delivering C’s Mom back home, doing the Mom swap after a week’s stay with us.  That make me a wee bit late, but as I said, it is a relaxed fair, especially after the craziness of Maryland.

Finally, here’s a pic of the lovely beaded bag handle I got from Frivolous Fibers

  1. Very pretty beaded handles. And the mohair roving. But you know my fav – the oh-so-clever wild turkey. One must have standards, dontcha know – when one almost was the symbol of the country. Let’s see an eagle do that! (oh, check out the baby eagles on the eagle.cam – let’s see a turkey do THAT!!)

  2. If the weather is cool and damp in NH this weekend, then there will certainly be sweaters on parade! I’ll pack my rain poncho just in case, though. Can’t wait for tomorrow! It will be such a delight to blitz out of here for awhile and consider other folks’ merchandise!
You sure got some gorgeous stuff in MD…

  3. Oh, and we had wild turkeys down in the woods this morning well before 6 AM. They were gobbling away down there, and the poor dogs went nuts with not being able to go and find them!

  4. Just out of curiosity, what is at the NH show that wasn’t at the Maryland show? What is the attraction, two weekends in a row, credit cards limp? Inquiring minds….not sure what I would do if able.

  5. That mohair roving is beautiful!!!
That turkey made me laugh today…what a hoot. Have fun in NH!!

  6. Hee hee! I guess even turkeys get thirsty, eh? Have fun at NHSW!

  7. How did I miss those handles and that fantastic roving? (Well, I missed YOU again…..) Hope NH was great.
