The last Saturday of the month is our local spin in. November's produced bobbin "A". At December's I spun bobbin "B". What can I say, there wasn't any time in between. Using more than a few 10 Minutes a Day sessions, I emptied those bobbins in time for the new year.
365 yards / 3.5 oz.
alpaca / merino / silk
from Freckle Face Fibers on Etsy
I'd split the roving down the middle. It didn't match up, but I knew in advance it wouldn't / couldn't. The fiber had been dyed randomly, and colors weren't the same even across the stripped roving. I decided to spin it from the fold, long draw. It went very quickly.
I was planning on a pair of new fingerless mitts but hate to end up with so much left over. Perhaps the Morning Surf Scarf.

Those are my colors!
I think the morningsurf scarf would be perfect.
Your handspun would make a beautiful Morning Surf Scarf or a Foggy Seas Scarf.
Lovely stuff! Vendor?
Hope you had a good New Year’s celebration.
I just love those colours – I have something similar – perhaps just a touch deeper – on the wheel at the moment… we shall not speak about how long it has been there LOL
That is some beautiful yarn!
Those colors look like the morning surf!
Beautiful! I love the colors. I have a couple of 4-oz rovings from her as well and she does a really beautiful job with the colorways.
You do put a pretty spin on fiber!
I think a Morning Surf scar will be lovely and I agree, I always try to use up all my handspun in one project!
Yummy! Gorgeous!
