A year ago I wrote a post on freezing apples. This year, beginning
in the early part of the apple season, I began to notice that people
using the search for "freezing apples" had ended up reading my post.
It was showing up on my stats and better still, on Feedjit. I love
Feedjit. There's so much information and there's a world map! Its
such a kick seeing where people arrive from, another wonderful thing
about the internet. Yesterday, for the first time, up popped an
Iranian flag. The search was for "freezing apples". Until then, I'd
never thought of Iran as an apple growing region. So, I Googled apple
orchards in Iran and came up with all sorts of info on orchards. The
point is, that yesterday, someone on the other side of the world had
too many apples, and wanted to freeze some for later. And, they found
me. Tonight, I'm sitting here wondering what recipes they'll use with
their frozen apples. Will it be a sweet treat, condiments, sauces?
My apples have long since been picked and put away. This morning,
I went through the apples in my keep and sorted out the ones that were
going bad. These went out for the deer. I did the same thing a week
or so ago, placing them under one of the wild apples trees. Overnight
they disappeared.
There is a full moon tonight. The little bit of snow left will reflect the light. There will be plenty of activity tonight.
Tomorrow I'll check for prints.
